Women in the Woods
First Session| Saturday, March 7 | 10AM | FREE | REGISTER NOW
Women in the Woods launches at Lime Hollow Nature Center with a brand-new outdoor education series designed to empower women and non-binary folks of all ages, abilities, body types, and experience levels to feel confident getting outside.
Never hiked before? You’re in.
Getting back into it after a long break? Still you.
This series is all about making nature feel welcoming, doable, and fully yours. Especially in an outdoor industry that hasn’t always made space for everyone. We see that gap, and we’re here to help you reclaim your wild. Because the woods belong to everyone.
What You’ll Learn
This first session is a free open house class and a low-pressure way to dip your hiking boots into the series. Topics include:
The Ten Essentials for safe and confident time outdoors
Women-specific gear, including options for plus-sized bodies
Real-talk outdoor skills (yes, including how to pee in the woods without getting it on your boots)
How to build comfort, confidence, and community outside
No prior experience, special gear, or fitness level required.
About the Series
This open house kicks off a six-part Women in the Woods series, which will build skills gradually throughout the season and culminate in a guided overnight backpacking trip at the end of summer. You can join for one session or grow with us through the whole journey.
Registration Info
This first class is free, but registration is requested (but not mandatory) so we can:
