Spring/Summer 2008 Public Program Schedule

Lime Hollow Birding Group Begins Tuesday, February 12, 7pm.

Join fellow birders every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Visitor Center at 338 McLean Road. Topics to include bird sightings, and upcoming trips, classes, and events for the year. All ages welcome. $15 annual membership fee supports Lime Hollow Bird Sanctuary.

June 1, ArtFest at the Hollow

1-4 pm, Lime Hollow Center for Environment and Culture Visitor Center, 338 McLean Road. Celebrate the beginning of summer and enjoy natural art, music, recreation, and fun.

Highlights include:

•Music in the Woods! Featuring local musicians along Lime Hollow trails
•Tamarack Art Trail dedication and an opportunity to see newly created Art Trail exhibits
•Stations to create your own natural art piece and/or instrument; play different instruments; storytelling
•Booths of nature-inspired artists and craftsmen showcasing their pieces

ArtFest will be held rain or shine! $5 per person; Children 3 and under - Free. Family discounts are available.

June 15, Father's Day 5K Run

9 am, Lime Hollow Center Visitor Center, McLean Rd. One mile Fun Run also available. The race path winds through beautiful trails, past turtle and frog ponds and through bird meadows. The natural terrain provides an excellent workout for both the eyes and the legs! This race is co-sponsored by the Cortland YMCA and the CRSC Race Series. All proceeds benefit both the Cortland YMCA and Lime Hollow. Early registration is $15 for adults, $10 for children under 13. Race day registration is $20 for adults and $15 for children under 13. August 28, Snake Night

6-8 pm, Lime Hollow Center for Environment and Culture Education Center, 3091 Gracie Road. Join Dan the Snake Man for an entertaining evening of reptile fun! Listen to a presentation at the amphitheater, where Dan will introduce several of his snakes; then enjoy the rest of the evening getting hands-on experience with snakes, spiders, millipedes, lizards and more!
