Winter 2010 Public Program Schedule

February 6, Winter Survival Intensive

10 am - 3 pm, Camp Earth Connections, 129 Hammond Hill Rd. An adult workshop with Primitive Pursuits and Camp Earth Connections. For more information download flyer.

March 27, Maple Sugarin' Day at Lime Hollow

9 am - 1 pm. Education Center, 3091 Gracie Road and Visitor Center, 338 McLean Road. Lime Hollow in conjunction with the BOCES New Visions Environmental Science class will guide you through stations in the LIme Hollow Sugar Bush at the Education Center to discover how maple syrup is made. Taste sap running right out of the tree! Best of all enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast at the Visitor Center. We'll have pure maple syrup available for purchase and much more! April 18, Earth Day Clean Up

1-5pm, Lime Hollow Visitor Center, 338 McLean Rd. Join your friends at Lime Hollow as they prepare trails for the spring and summer season. This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for all ages! April 24, 17th Annual Fishing Festival

8 am - 12 noon, Lime Hollow Education Center, 3091 Gracie Road. This fun-filled program is focused on all things fishy! Come learn about water, aquatic life, and fishing. Children ages 3-14 may try to catch and take home their very own lunker! Ticket prices: Pre-registered $4, walk-ins $5. Pre-Registration is highly recommended! Call, email, or even stop in. June 6, Lime Hollow Art & Music Festival

12 - 4 pm, Lime Hollow Visitor Center, 338 McLean Rd. Celebrate the beginning of summer with this multi-sensory event that brings the community together for art, music, recreation, and fun.

Highlights include:

~ Music in the woods! Featuring local musicians along Lime Hollow trails

~ Main concert event: Bernice Lewis, singer, song writer, and educator

~ Booths of nature-inspired artists and craftsmen showcasing their pieces

~ Special performance by Cleanheart Hoop Troop
