June 10, ArtFest at the Hollow
1 - 5 pm, Lime Hollow Visitor Center, 338 McLean Road. Humanity is intimately connected to the natural world. Come and see how regional artists interpret and celebrate that connection as Lime Hollow presents ArtFest at the Hollow, a multi-sensory gathering of art, music and the community. This event is made possible with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Grant Program administered locally by the Cultural Resources Council of Syracuse and Onondaga County. Highlights are:
1 - 3:30 pm, Music in the Woods! Enjoy nature and music as many local musicians and groups entertain you as you hike the marked trails. The Music in the Woods trail starts at the new visitor center on McLean Road. Musical artists include: Calico Moon, Colleen Kattau, Afro-Cuban Drum Band Somos Diferentes, Paul Speight and his Didgeridoo, The Jazz Happens Band, Howard Lieberman & Steve Daniels, John Busch and Friends, The Buerkles Family and Friends, and The Three Travelers.- Local Artists exhibit their nature inspired artwork. Under the new visitor center porch check out the exhibits and meet the artists: Tony Ferro from Frog Pond Farm Folk Art Gallery, KJ Hunter Neff, Of the Earth Stone Art, Mary Young, and Sharon Livingston Southwestern Collection.
- Artist/Student Collaboration: Hike the Tamarack Trail to view the latest permanent installation for the Art Trail created by Tony Ferro and Cortland County children.
- Refreshments provided for purchase by the Blue Frog and Lime Hollow
This event is sponsored in part by the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Grant Program, administered regionally by the Cultural Resources Council. Cost $3 per person, $10 max for families.
